Ipoh, Perak — June 2025

Brought in my dad's old Seiko 5 that hadn't run properly in years. They explained exactly what was wrong and what the service would involve before starting. Came back regulated and running well. The condition note they included was a nice touch.

Taiping, Perak — May 2025

Went in for a simple battery change on my Tissot. They noticed the crystal was slightly chipped and asked if I wanted to deal with it at the same time — didn't pressure, just flagged it. I appreciated that approach. Battery was done same week.

Ipoh, Perak — June 2025

Had a vintage Orient hand-wind that was losing about 8 minutes a day. They took it through their full mechanical service. Took about two weeks but I was kept updated throughout. It now runs within +2 seconds per day. Really solid work.

Batu Gajah, Perak — May 2025

Had a sentimental watch — wore it every day for fifteen years and the case had really picked up scratches over time. They were careful about what they could and couldn't do to the finish. Came back looking refreshed without losing its worn character. That's exactly what I'd hoped for.

Ipoh, Perak — June 2025

Decent experience overall. Dropped off a Citizen quartz that had stopped. Battery done efficiently, and they pointed out the caseback gasket needed replacing. They asked first, which I appreciated. Took a bit longer than the initial estimate but they messaged to explain why.

Faizal Azman

Teluk Intan, Perak — July 2025

Brought in my grandfather's Miyota automatic that had been sitting for a very long time. I didn't know if it was worth servicing. They looked at it, gave me an honest assessment of what it would take and what the realistic outcome would be. Ended up doing the full Movement Renewal — it runs again and I'm glad I went ahead.

Service Journeys

The Situation

Seiko 5 — Not Running

An owner brought in an automatic Seiko 5 that had stopped working after years in a drawer. The watch was a gift and had sentimental importance — the owner wasn't sure it could be saved.

What We Did

Movement Renewal

The movement was disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated. A worn part in the automatic winding mechanism was identified, discussed with the owner, and replaced. The movement was regulated on the timing machine.

Outcome

Running within spec

The watch now runs at +4 seconds per day — well within the standard tolerance for the movement. Total service took 12 working days. The owner collected it with a timing machine readout included.

The Situation

Vintage Citizen — Deep Scratches

A 1980s Citizen quartz with deeply scratched case and a cracked crystal. The owner was concerned that refinishing would remove original finish details on the case.

What We Did

Case & Crystal Care

We discussed the level of refinishing appropriate for a vintage piece before touching anything. The case received light work to reduce — not remove — the scratches, preserving the original brushed surfaces. The cracked crystal was replaced with a matching profile.

Outcome

Refreshed, character intact

The watch came back looking cared-for rather than over-restored. The owner was pleased that the worn quality of the case had been respected. Ready in 6 working days.

The Situation

Tissot — Suddenly Stopped

A quartz Tissot that stopped abruptly. The owner assumed it needed a battery but wasn't sure if there might be something else going on.

What We Did

Quiet Check

The battery had indeed failed — confirmed as the only issue. We replaced it, inspected the seals, and gave the case a clean. The condition note confirmed no other concerns. No further work was recommended because none was needed.

Outcome

Back in service, no surprises

Collected in 2 days. RM 145, as stated. The owner noted they'd been quoted more elsewhere for what turned out to be a battery job.
